A LITTLE HISTORY AND LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
October 2009 saw us celebrating twenty one years of our present church building. It was deliberately designed so that local organisations could use the building. We regard them as doing God’s work in the community and our links with them are growing. There is much thought being given at the moment about expanding our work even more in the community and this involves looking at the building again to ensure that it will serve our purposes best.
We have engaged an architect. Plans have been drawn up and we are now busy raising £200,000. A lift to replace our existing chair lift, automatic front doors and most exciting of all – a mezzanine floor to house a Community Cafe are planned as well as some other improvements.

The Church is the people not the building.We are situated very close to a busy shopping centre on the borders of South East London. We are described as a welcoming bunch coming from all walks of life.

We want to share God's love with the local community. Each Thursday we are open for lunch for anybody who wishes to drop in.

A feature of our modern sanctuary is the image of the three crosses reminding us of the ultimate sacrifice by Jesus on Good Friday
